Adler Guerrier, Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova and Frances Trombly
Dimensions Variable in collaboration with ArtCenter South Florida present, On Location, an exhibition featuring the work of Adler Guerrier, Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova and Frances Trombly—all three of DV’s collaborators. They exhibition will take place at ArtCenter’s Project 924 October 8 – November 2, 2014.
Guerrier, Rodriguez-Casanova and Trombly explore notions of place. After Rodriguez-Casanova and Trombly recently developed a project for Prosjektrom Normanns in Stavanger, Norway, they will all consider Miami Beach as a site of research and artistic output in the same way.
The idea of true objectivity is not possible. We analyze the world through the subjective consciousness with roots that were established early in our lives. As we work and examine a new place, the materials sourced and the ideas that manifest begin to reflect not one place, but two – a physical place and a conscious place.
